TOWARDS ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENCY

 

In agriculture, lots of organic waste is being generated which can be treated and utilised in Watrec’s biogas plant. Biogas is generated in the process, which can be utilised as energy such as electricity or steam. In addition, the process produces organic fertilisers, which contains for example phosphorous. This way, the waste can be converted into profits.

For a farmer, it is important to ensure flexible operations, which enables stable every-day life. Biogas plant is an efficient and flexible way to help solving two major challenges, waste management and energy production. In addition, organic fertilisers is being produced.

Our Vampula Biogas Plant is operating in connection with two pig farms. The farms deliver their manure into the biogas plant and recieve energy in exchange. Read more about Vampula plant in here.
